Southwest Bed Chamber
The Jacobean English tavern table is from 1700-1710 and is made of oak. Note the brass wash basin and towel for guest in this chamber. The chair is an English Carver type from 1650 - 1700.
This reproduction bed with a trundle bed would be used for guests with families. Note the rope key displayed on the bed. The mattress rests on ropes that crossed each other and are tied to the frame of the bed. If the ropes stretch, the key is used to firm up the mattresses.
