Public Programs and Activities within
Jamaica Bay Unit

Partake in a sandcastle contest along the shores where the endangered piping plover caper, guide a canoe across the cresting ocean waves and experience the history of coastal Brooklyn and Queens. Restore historic aircraft amongst the veterans who once flew them. Or simply bask in the delight of the summer sun and unwind from the distention of everyday living while observing a theatrical performance.

Programs and activities, such as these, are offered year- round at each of the Jamaica Bay units. Program listings can be found in our seasonal program guide.

Please call our visitor center for additional information regarding current and upcoming programs at 718-338-3338.
