JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM
at Friendship Hill National Historic Site

The Jr. Ranger Program is for children visiting Friendship Hill with their Families. It is a fun way for young visitors to get the most out of their visit their National Park.

Junior Ranger PatchChildren ages 6-12 can participate in the Jr. Ranger Program. They will be given a folder with activity sheets when they arrive at Friendship Hill. These are to guide them on their explorations of the park. While doing the activities, children enjoy earning an embroidered patch and a certificate which they can display with pride.

Checklist of Requirements

  • Visit Friendship Hill National Historic Site.
  • Complete all activity sheets in the folder.
    1. The Land
    2. The National Park Service
    3. The House
    4. Albert Gallatin
  • Attend a ranger talk and have the ranger initial your booklet.

    or - If no ranger talk is scheduled during your visit:
    read exhibits in the visitor center and view the "Reflections of Gallatin" audio visual program or take the self guided audio tour.
Allow three to four hours to complete The Jr. Ranger Program.
