Amelia Loguen was the daughter of Rev. Jermain Wesley Loguen and Catherine Loguen, of Syracuse. Jermain Loguen was the Syracuse Stationmaster on the Underground Railroad. Himself a fugitive from slavery, he became Bishop of the AME Zion church.
