Fort Sumter National Monument

Junior Ranger Program

A park ranger talks with a young visitor about the significance of the 10-inch Seacoast Mortar and the first shot of the Civil War

A Junior Ranger Program for Ft. Sumter is currently being developed. However, visit Fort Moultrie (a unit of Fort Sumter National Monument) and see if you have what it takes to help America preserve and understand the importance of its national treasures. Pick up a Junior Ranger activity booklet at the Fort Moultrie Visitor Education Center and complete it while on tour. Bring your completed booklet to the Visitor Education Center to receive your badge and certificate commissioning you as a Junior Park Ranger. You can also be a Junior Ranger even if you are not able to visit a national park. By logging on to WebRangers, you become a member of a growing group of young people who are interested in the world around them and involved with their nation’s heritage . . . the WebRangers. Log in and join us for some fun! Activities change from time to time and you’ll want to check in at WebRanger Headquarters.
