Fort Stanwix has planned a diverse array of special events and daily programs that will both entertain and educate visitors of all ages. To arrange a customized visit, contact Fort Stanwix by phone at 315-336-2090 or by Email.

Fort Stanwix specializes in handling motorcoach tours of all sizes.

A Revolutionary War fort, rebuilt on the original site, Fort Stanwix can accommodate groups from 15 to 200. Once inside the Visitor Center, visitors receive an orientation from the ranger on duty. An orientation video is show every half hour. After hearing and seeing some of the background history and drama of the events that happened at Fort Stanwix, you can join a ranger led program and gain a greater understanding of the struggles the events that happened at Fort Stanwix or explore at your own pace.

Self-guiding walking tours are available anytime between 9 AM and 5 PM, April 1 through December 31.

Ranger-guided tour: Operators / groups need to call 315-336-2090 to make reservations for a ranger tour.

The "Fort Exploration" tour is about an hour long.

Guided tours can be customized from 15 minutes to two hours in length.

Fees will range from $2-$4 per person. Complimentary 1 driver/1 escort per coach. 2 week notice needed for cancellation. For most up-to-date calendar of events and activities, checkout our Special Events pages.

Typical Drive Times: Albany — 2 hours, Buffalo — 3 hours, Rochester — 2 hours, Binghamton — 2 hours, Syracuse — 1 hour, Lake George — 2.5 hours, Watertown — 1.5 hours.
