This web site was created during the summer of 1999 by teachers from the Greenbush Consortium as part of a Technology Literacy Challenge Grant in conjunction with the Fort staff. We designed the tour as a tool to assist classroom teachers with Kansas and Civil War history. The project includes digital pictures, virtual reality tours, photos, and selections from the Fort's archives, as well as informational text.
