Computation and Estimation: Compute with whole
numbers and fractions. Understand and use whole
numbers and fractions. (4th through 8th
grade)

Use the bakery
page from the Ft. Scott Web Site to view the recipe
for bread. Have the students use math skills to
reduce the recipe to feed the number of students in
their classroom or the number of people in their
family. Students can take reduced recipe and
actually bake bread at home or help bake bread in
the school cafeteria.
