Fort Necessity Tiger Cub Field Trip

Achievement #1 "Go See It!"

Fort Necessity National Battlefield has developed a program just for Tiger Cubs called "Native American Family Life in the 1750s". This program, presented by a Park Ranger, fulfills the Go See It for Achievement #1 .

Tiger Cub and Park Ranger at Fort Necessity NBThe Tiger Cubs learn about Native American life, get to try on clothes and make a wampum bracelet. After the program your den is free to visit and explore Fort Necessity. The program lasts about 35 minutes.

Fort Necessity can provide the program after school from 4:00 to 4:35 p.m. on weekdays. It is also available on weekends between 9:00 am and 11:00 am and between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Fort Necessity has a $3.00 entrance fee for adults. All Tiger Cubs and other children are free. To get the program, you must make a reservation. For information and reservations please call 724-329-5512.
