The Fort Necessity Classroom Activity Program was designed for use in upper elementary school classrooms. There are five elements to the program.

  1. The Fort Necessity Video
The video is a 10 minute introduction to the Battle of Fort Necessity. A script is included as part of the Classroom Activity Booklet for information and reference.

  2. The Classroom Activity Booklet
Each activity has Teacher's information and activities for students.

  3. The copy of the Surrender Document
    To post in the Classroom.

  4. Bibliography
A Bibliography is included as additional reference material for you and your students. Some of the books are available at the Eastern National Bookstore at Fort Necessity.

  5. The Evaluation
Please return the evaluation after using the material so we can improve the package in the future.

The curriculum objectives for this program were derived from the Uniontown Area School District Social Studies Curriculum/ Course of Study for Elementary Schools Grade K-6. This program was produced with funding from the Eberly Foundation and published by Eastern National Park and Monument Association.
