National Park Service
Fort Necessity National Battlefield - Where three worlds collide

Message to Re-enactors

Thank you for your interest in Fort Necessity's 250th anniversary commemorative event. Paramount to the National Park Service at this upcoming event is safety and historic accuracy. Most of you have several years if not decades of experience and we look forward to working with you at the commemoration. We are asking that all participants dress and equip themselves as one of the three cultures at Fort Necessity in the 1754 campaign. To help you prepare your kit the planning committee has created clothing and equipment guidelines to ensure accurate portrayals. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me at 724-329-5811 or by email at brian_reedy@nps.gov.
