Noted French and Indian War authors and scholars will engage
the public in a dialogue on the significance of the Battle of
Fort Necessity. This free event is sponsored by the Pennsylvania
Humanities Council and the Braddock Road Preservation Association.

serve as the moderator of the scholars panel.

Mr. Bearor will provide a French perspective. He is the author
of "Battle on Snowshoes," "French and Indian War
Battlesites: A Controversy," and "Leading by Example,
Partisan Fighters and Leaders of New France, Volumes I, II, III."

Mr. Gallup will provide another French perspective. He is the
author of "La Marine," " The French Colonial Soldier
in Canada 1754-1761," "Memoirs of a French and Indian
War Soldier," "The Celeron Expedition on the Ohio River
1749," and "A Sketch of the Virginia Soldier in the
Revolution."
