The Approaching Storm

French and Indian War Scholars Panel
"George Washington Remembers: Reflections on the French and Indian War",
an original manuscript written by George Washington, on exhibit.

Saturday and Sunday,
July 3 and 4

Clash of Cultures

  18th century Cultural Demonstrations —
  Encampment —
Experience the life of 18th century soldiers and warriors in preparation for battle.
  "George Washington Remembers: Reflections on the French and Indian War" on exhibit.
  Tactical Demonstration in the Great Meadows
  Memorial Service

Throughout the weekend

Cultural Demonstrators, guest speakers, and book signings are planned throughout the commemoration event.

Plus Premier French and Indian War artists Robert Griffing and John Buxton will be on hand to exhibit their work.

In the coming years exciting events and programs are planned at Fort Necessity and other French & Indian War sites in the region.

The Mount Washington Tavern, a museum about life along the National Road in the mid-19th century, will be open during the commemoration
