Several lesson plans keyed to the Sunshine (Florida) State Education Standards are available to help prepare students and teachers for a visit to St. Augustine and the Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas National Monuments. Some of these are in FCAT format, written for grades 4-5, to help students practice math, reading, and writing skills while studying social studies.
