EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Fort Donelson National Battlefield offers curriculum-based programs including lesson plans, traveling trunks, audiovisual programs, and Junior Ranger Programs. • Programs
are offered Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 9:00 a.m.
to 1:00 p.m.
Class size: minimum 15, maximum 60 unless noted in the program
description. School groups are required to be accompanied by
teachers
and chaperones, with at least one per ten students. Teachers
and chaperones are responsible
for all discipline and must remain with the
group during the program. Portions of the program are conducted
rain or
shine. No program fees. • All pre-visit and post-visit materials (lesson plans and traveling trunks) meet Kentucky and Tennessee Core Curriculum Standards. • All park programs require reservations (reservation form and information). A confirmation letter and pre-visit package will be mailed to the teachers when a reservation is confirmed. The packet contains a map and information about the park.
