Metric Scales

In case you aren't all that familiar with the metric scale, we've included this little scale as a visual aid to show exactly what a centimeter and millimeter look like as compared to a couple of common U.S. coins and one of our more popular fossils, Paleovespa. Click on the image at right for a closer view and a new window will open. All fossil images on this website include a centimeter scale with millimeter increments (see example at left).
