Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is well known for its "Age of the Mammals" (Cenozoic) fossils. Florissant's dates (34-35 million years ago) place the fossils in the Eocene Epoch.

Below are two curriculums developed to help students gain an understanding of Florissant's contribution to scientific understanding of the "Age of Mammals."

All activities require Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing. Downloads are available for individual lessons as well as for the entire unit. All PDF files contain answer keys.
