| Procedure: |
- Ask the students what types of wildlife live in the Mississippi Valley (eagle, deer,
wild turkey, falcon etc.)
- Divide the students into groups of 4-5 and tell them that each group is responsible for
choosing an animal (each group has a different animal) and researching that animal to be
able to answer the following questions:
- where the animal lives
- what type of home(s) it lives in
- what it eats
- how they care for their young
- size of family group
- any other interesting information
- visual(s)
- The groups prepare a short presentation to the class. Optional: Animal Scramble and Match
