Objective: Students should gain an understanding of the Woodland people by experiencing their customs through food.

Procedure:
  1. Discuss the crops that are grown in the area.  Name the fruits and vegetables that are grown in orchards or gardens.  What types of food are available in this area?   As gatherers the Woodland people used what food was available to them in this area.   Many foods contained corn and other grains, seeds berries, and nuts.
