Welcome

We occupy the same piece of earth as those who went before us. Time is what separates us- that and vastly different worlds.
"...'feeling' the past and the environment is as valid an experience as 'knowing' it scientifically."
(R. Clark Mallam)

Winter--Silence

The world seems to die in winter - families would move to sheltered places to leave the Great River to the Bald Eagle.

Spring--Life Returns

Migrating birds, such as Canada geese bring renewed life and warmer weather with them.

Summer--A Time of Plenty

Delicious food such as berries come with the heat of summer.

Fall--The Cold Times are Coming

This was the time when families would gather and store food. They would take what they could carry away from the Great River to the sheltered places that were home in winter.
