Glenmont Potting Shed Repairs

photo alt textThe Potting Shed is attached to the Greenhouse. In addition to providing working space and storage for the gardener, it also served as the gardener's residence (second floor).

The Potting Shed repair work guarded against future damage to the structure. The work is now complete.

The work included restoration of decorative cement work near the Potting Shed roof. Edison used the building (along with the Glenmont Garage) as a prototype of his poured concrete construction technique.

During work on the Potting Shed, a plywood baffle protected the glass of the Greenhouse extension.
