Glenmont Electrical System

The upgraded electrical service required new underground power lines. This photograph shows a trench dug near the house for some of these lines. Whenever possible, the same trenches were used for electrical service and the piping for the fire suppression and HVAC systems.

To mitigate hazardous conditions and to support new systems, project personnel upgraded the entire Glenmont electrical system.

To keep with the nature of the historic building and the Llewellyn Park community around it, contractors buried all electrical lines underground. They also installed new equipment in the Glenmont basement.

This portion of the project is complete.

This photograph shows the new electrical panel in the basement of Glenmont.
