Scotty's Castle Area Services

The Castle from the Powerhouse

Scotty's Castle is a day-use area only. No overnight lodging is available at the site. The nearest lodging facilities inside the park are at Stovepipe Wells and Furnace Creek. Beatty, Nevada has full services sixty miles from Scotty's Castle. Mesquite Spring Campground (no hookups), is located five miles south of the Castle.

Services on-site include:

Exhibit Area - open 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST

Natural History Association Bookstore - open 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST

Xanterra Gift Shop - open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PST

Xanterra Snack Bar - open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (depending on season some food services may become available at earlier times)

Scotty's Gas (Petrol) Station - open 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PST
There is NO gasoline available at Scotty's Castle after 4:00 p.m. (The nearest gas stations are at Stovepipe Wells, 45 miles south, and at Furnace Creek, 53 miles south.)

Castle grounds and picnic areas are open and free to the public from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. PST. The Castle grounds are closed after 5:30.

A public pay phone is available behind the ticket office building located on the grounds. A pay phone is also available at the Grapevine Ranger Station located 3 miles south of Scotty's Castle.
