DOYLESTOWN
Acting as the county seat of Bucks County since 1813, Doylestown is
best known for its eccentric benefactor, Henry Chapman Mercer. The
latter's legacy is best seen in his three concrete buildings collectively
known as The
Mercer Mile, but there are numerous other attractions in or near the
town. Other than the Mercer Museum, Fonthill, and the Moravian Pottery
Works, Doylestown also offers modern art at the James Michener Art Museum
and fabulous shopping, restaurant, and entertainment opportunities.
