Huffman Prairie Flying Field
Walking Tours

Sundays through Tuesdays, Thursdays through Saturdays* 10:30am

During the ranger-led walking tours, visitors will learn about the Wright brothers’ experiments in 1904 and 1905 at the flying field, their School of Aviation, and how the prairie was transformed into an integral part of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base after World War II. *Huffman Prairie Flying Field is located on an active military installation and subject to unannounced closures.

The event is free and open to the public. Visitors are advised to carry water on hot days.
