Trail Accessibility

By nature, the volcanic landscape of Craters of the Moon is rough and rugged. The materials—cinders, broken lava—that make up the very features that you come here to see also make access to them difficult. Craters of the Moon is actively trying to provide good access to as many of the major features within the developed area of the monument as possible, but each trail has its own characteristics. These characteristics are detailed in this section to help you decide which sites are most suitable for you and your family to visit.

NORTH CRATER FLOW
