Recreation Fee Demonstration Program
Your money at work!

UserFee
improves this park

When you pay an entrance or user fee at any national park, 100% of the revenue is used to benefit the visiting public and park resources.

In 1996, the United States Congress set up the Recreation Fee Demonstration Program. This program allows parks that collect fees to retain 80% of the funds. The program then distributes the remaining 20% to the parks that do not charge fees.

Thanks to visitor support, many important projects at Craters of the Moon National Monument have been made possible. We hope these projects make your visit safer and more enjoyable.
