A Checklist Of Vascular Plants
Acknowledgements to Peter F. Zika Published By |
We are indebted to Peter F. Zika for his research in developing a current, comprehensive annotated checklist of vascular plants in Crater Lake National Park, (a cooperative effort between the National Park Service and The Nature Conservancy). Many individuals and volunteers contributed to the success of this project by finding and cataloging plant specimens or literature and verifying or clarifying technical taxanomic points. We appreciate their dedication and hardwork. Special recognition goes to Crater Lake Natural History Association for funding and encouragement. A final thanks to Mary Rasmussen, CRLA Terrestrial Biologist for seeing this effort through to its fruition.
Please do your part to preserve our native flora. Avoid trampling plants and do not collect plants from the park. In many ways, our National Parks serve as precious remnants of relatively undisturbed, naturally thriving plant communities! Whether you're hiking in the backcountry, strolling along front country trails, or parked along the roadside, we hope that this checklist will be a worthy addition to your botanical references for Crater Lake National Park. Enjoy!!
