Crater Lake National Park
Stock Use

Horse riderCrater Lake National Park has no stock trails which provide views of Crater Lake itself. However, the park's backcountry has many miles of trails suitable for stock use which explore diverse lower elevation forests, including the full length of the Pacific Crest Trail within the park (but not the alternate trail along the caldera rim).

Stock users must know and observe all regulations. Please use extreme care to leave the park's backcountry in its natural state.

For use within the park, stock animals are defined as horses, mules, burros and llamas. Dogs are not considered stock animals.
