The National Park Service cordially invites the public to visit the battlefield and learn more about the role the battle played in the outcome of the American Revolution, an event so remarkable, the Continental Congress awarded three medals to the commanders at Cowpens - Daniel Morgan, William Washington and John Eager Howard. As you walk the trail take time to remember the valor and courage of those who gave their lives so that we could gain our independence from Great Britain.
