SC Rangers living history encampment

3:00 p.m. Anthony J.Scotti will give a talk on Banastre Tarleton and sign copies of his book, Brutal Virtue: The Myth and Reality of Banastre Tarleton.

4:00 p.m. Howard Burnham portrays Thomas Paine in the Visitor Center auditorium. Repeat performance.

5:30 p.m. 5th String Band will perform on the lawn behind the Visitor Center.

8:15 p.m. Spartanburg Community Band will perform on the lawn behind the Visitor Center.

Between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. begin! Funded by donations to the Friends of Cowpens.

All times are approximate. Safety is top priority. No individual fireworks permitted!

The Cherokee County Chapter of the American Red Cross will sell food and snacks on Saturday.

1:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m. The Nick Pickers will be performing traditional music of 100 plus years ago in the Visitor Center auditorium.

3:00 p.m. Dr. Bobby Gilmer Moss will speak about his upcoming book on African Americans and The Journal of Alexander Chesney.
