One of the main goals of the Chaco Project was to publish reports of all the field work and analyses accomplished between 1971 and 1986. Although the Chaco Project was disbanded in 1986 and its personnel left the Park Service or were reassigned to other projects, a dedicated few - F. Joan Mathien, Thomas C. Windes and illustrator Jerry Livingston - continued this work. With the help of former colleagues, they have continued to write, edit and produce volumes of research reports to enrich our knowledge of Chaco Canyon and its unique prehistoric culture.
