The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area does not have camping in the park. However, there are many camping areas located near the park. For lodging other than camping, contact the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce at (404) 880-9000.

The following is a list of nearby campgrounds:

  • U.S. Army Corp of Engineers at Lake Sidney Lanier has ten campgrounds with many sites available with water and electric hookups. Contact them at 770-945-9531 or http://lanier.sam.usace.army.mil/ and click on "Recreation".

  • Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest offers twenty-five campgrounds and may be contacted at 770-297-3000 or http://www.fs.fed.us/conf/.

  • Georgia State Parks offer forty-one sites with campgrounds with some sites available with water and electric hookups. They may be reached at 1-800-864-7275 or http://www.gastateparks.org.
The park closes 30 minutes after sunset each day. Contact the U.S. Department of the Interior main camping reservations line at 1-800-365-CAMP for other National Park campgrounds.

Please remember a $3.00 daily or $25.00 annual Park Pass is required on parked vehicles in the National Park.
