Camp Misty Mount
Enjoy cabin camping at historic Camp Misty Mount. The Works Progress Administration completed construction of the 30-acre camp in 1937. Cabins were constructed in the 'rustic architecture' style using local materials such as American Chestnut. Originally designed as an organized group camp, Misty Mount today is available for rent to both individuals and groups. The cabins are equipped with single metal cots with mattresses. Each has a light in the ceiling and on the porch. Electric outlets are not available. A grill, fire ring, and picnic table are located outside each cabin. Facilities for dish washing, drinking water, hot showers and flush toilets are provided centrally in each of the three loop areas. Campers must provide: bedding, charcoal, cookware, tableware, ice and coolers for food storage, water containers, and first aid supplies. NO PETS! Camp Misty Mount has 18 four cot cabins, 6 three cot cabins, 1 six cot cabin, and 3 eight cot lodges. There is also an 8 cot cabin with 2 bathrooms. Extra cots are not available. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. The full rental fee will be due on the date specified in your confirmation letter. Cabins at Misty Mount are reserved by telephone. Walk-ins will be accepted based on cabin availability, the camp office is not staffed full time. Reservations will be accepted beginning the first business day of each year.
