MAN ON THE MOUNTAIN (Grade 7 to Adult, Ages 11+) THEMES: Conservation, Land Use, Cultural Heritage

Discover the story of Man on the Mountain. From Native American use, European settlers, Recreational Demonstration Area, to the National Park Service, the mountain has provided for many people over many years.

OH DEER… (Family Audiences) THEME: Deer Impacts on Park Resources

Are there too many deer in your neighborhood? Oh Deer explores the problems associated with the deer population in the park and their impacts on the forest. Management options will be discussed.

THE CHOICE IS YOURS (Family Audiences) THEME: Environmental Issues

Learn about some of the decisions that have affected the Park since the beginning of European settlement. Includes an audience participation session that allows the group to offer solutions to a series of real-life dilemmas.

CHANGING WITH THE TIMES (Adult Audiences) For Camp Round Meadow Only THEME: History of Camp Round Meadow

A series of Federal youth conservation programs have utilized Camp Round Meadow as a headquarters. Tour the facilities and learn how these programs affected visitor use in the camp and the park.
