Activity Description
Students learn about poetry and metaphor through becoming language
archeologists.
They must dig through Sandburg's poem Chicago, find all the
anthropomorphic words, and categorize them correctly.

is read beforehand; 1 hour if include Anthro-City
activity.
Materials: use of computer; photocopies
of poem Chicago if necessary.
