Activity Description
Students read one of Sandburg's Letters
to Bill, a column published in La Follette's Weekly Magazine
in Milwaukee, WI in the early 1900's.
Students must correct the grammatical and spelling mistakes in each
letter before getting their next clue.
Classroom Use
For groups or individual study
Time: 40 min; 20 min. if work with letters is done prior to
activity.
Materials: use of computer; photocopies
of Letter to Bill
to discuss in class.
