Toggenburgs originate from the Toggenburg Valley of Switzerland. They were the first breed of dairy goat imported to the U.S. in 1893.

On the Sandburg's dairy farm you can distinguish Toggenburgs from the other two breeds by their brown coat and white markings on their legs and over their eyes.
