Volunteer Opportunities:
- FILES
CLERK
Assists
with organization of administrative office to include filing, typing
letters, and minor correspondence.
- VISITOR USE ASSISTANT
Assist with the operation of the visitor contact station,
respond to visitor inquiries about the park and related programs and
events.
- RESEARCH
ASSISTANT
Provides assistance to the park staff
through provision of research material that will be used in preparation
of programs, talks, articles, and other interpretive media.
- EDUCATION
ASSISTANT
Assist with developing
curriculum based programs for BRVB site and developing outreach programs.
Schedules group visits to the park, according to established guidelines.
Assists with greeting and management of group visit.
- INTERPRETIVE
ASSISTANT
Prepares and presents talks
on topics pertinent to the park's primary themes and /or agency history
and mission. Present offsite programs in schools as scheduled.
- PHOTO
CURATOR
Work with the Education
Outreach Specialist to organize, maintain, and improve park photo
and slide collections. File photos and slides in accordance with park
operating plans. Provides maintenance to park audiovisual features,
such as projectors, tape units, and other equipment on an as needed
basis.
- LIBRARY
AIDE
Establishes or manages
computerized library catogue system and works with external library
sources available from Internet, conducting searches, and inter-library
loans.

MAINTENANCE WORKER
Assist with outdoor grounds
at BRVB site, including rebuilding fences and beautification projects.
Requires physical stamina. (some heavy lifting involved).
