The battle popularly known as "The Battle of Bunker Hill" actually took place on Breed's Hill, the site of the existing monument and exhibit lodge. Today, a 221-foot granite obelisk marks the site of the first major battle of the American Revolution.

Soon after the battle, the first infantry drills were put into use for the new United States Army, turning bands of farmers and merchants into soldiers.

Here, you can see a typical drill, performed on the site of the battle.

If you would like to just see the musket firing without the drill to get an idea of what multiple weapons firing was like, <click here.>
