Linked by their integral relationship to the Blackstone River, Valley communities are finding ways take advantage of the River to inspire new opportunities for recreation, transportation, environmental protection, economic development, and overall public enjoyment.

In many instances, renewal of riverfronts near town centers involves finding new uses for vacant mill buildings, protecting historic structures and landscapes, remediating environmental contamination, and increasing public access to the water’s edge.
