Stadium Theatre
Under threat by long-term deferred maintenance and neglect, this
circa 1920 historic theatre in the center of Woonsocket's Main Street
district was saved by the efforts of a non-profit group founded to promote
its preservation.

Chepachet
Main Street
In 1998, the Town of Glocester worked with businesses to organize
a Main Street Program for its historic village of Chepachet.

Millbury Improvement
Initiative
Five years ago, a group of interested residents in the Town of Millbury
formed a local community development corporation to promote revitalization
in its village center.

Douglas Streetscape Improvements
With financial assistance through the Corridor Commission's Heritage
Partnership Program, Douglas has produced a conceptual plan to make improvements
to its historic streetscape (Route 16).

Three valley communities have enacted legislation targeted at
reviving
elements of their downtown areas by attracting live and work places for
artists into their historic structures.
