Cedar Pass Lodge Opens for the 2003 Summer Season

The coming of rain and warmer winds also brings several annual events at Badlands National Park. Prairie plants begin their process of regreening. Newly born animals appear with their parents. And - Cedar Pass Lodge has opened its doors to visitors. As of March 23, the Gift Shop of Cedar Pass Lodge is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hours will expand on Sunday, April 6 to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Cabins and Dining Room will be available as of April 15.

Dining Room Schedule for 2003

April 15 through May 22 8 a.m. to 5 p.m... May 23 through September 1 7 a.m. to 9 p.m... September 2 through September 28 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m... September 29 through October 15 8:00 to 4:30 p.m.

All Cedar Pass Lodge facilities are scheduled to close for the season on October 15, 2003. Cedar Pass Lodge is operated under a National Park Service concession contract by Forever Resorts, L.L.C. Forever Resorts operates several national park concessions from Alaska to North Carolina. We're looking forward to our second summer here in the Badlands, notes Linda Parker, part of the Forever Resorts management team. Our staff is a blending of "old hands" and new faces for this season. The gift shop has expanded its South Dakota made crafts, as well as included items that use environmentally friendly materials or processes in their production. Plains Indian arts and crafts are also featured.
