Living History:

1.)Military Encampments: Portray Civil War Soldiers and Camp Life for Park visitors. The Park has a limited number of opportunities for groups meeting requirements.

 

Park Maintenance:

1.)Historic Structure Maintenance: Provide preventative maintenance to historic 19th Century houses and outbuildings: painting, woodwork, and carpentry.

 

2.) Historic Landscape Maintenance: Preserves historic vistas and vegetation: Mowing, brush clearing, pruning, seasonal planting, control of exotic species, maintenance of monuments.

 

3.)Trail Maintenance: Keep the Park's six miles of hiking trails safe and accessible: Brush cutting, erosion control, general maintenance, erecting signage and blazes, grooming trail surface.

 

 

Visitor Center Operations:

1.)Visitor Center Desk: Provide visitors with information on Park programs, including: slide programs, talks, and living history demonstrations.

 

Museum:

1.)Museum Aide: assist the Park Curator with cataloging and care of museum artifacts and exhibits.

 

 

 

Wildlife and Resource Management:

1.)Gypsy Moth Monitoring and Management: Volunteers are needed to help set up and maintain and monitor traps.
