Bird Checklist
This checklist contains birds sighted at the Allegheny Portage Railroad
National Historic Site between 1997 and 1999. The study was completed
by the Pennsylvania State University. The birds were observed during the
migration season as well as the breeding season.
The season when the bird was sighted is noted next to each bird name.
Please use the following key as a reference:
(m): Bird sighted during migration season.
(b): Bird sighted during breeding season.
(mb): Bird sighted during both migration and breeding seasons.
