Dear Educator:

In order to have your entrance fee at Allegheny Portage Railroad National HIistoric Site waived for your school group, two requirements must be met. Part one is a statement of the purpose of the visit and how it relates to the themes of the Allegheny Portage Railroad. Part two is documentation that the school is a bona fide educational group that must be signed by your school's administration.

Part One: Please state below the educational purpose of your visit to Allegheny Portage Railroad NHS.. (This must include how the visit relates to class curriculums or activities--simply stating "field trip" is not sufficient.)

Part Two: Please have the principal of your school sign the statement below.
