With its spectacular setting on the rugged Maine coast and diverse facilities that reflect its past life as a U.S. Navy base, the SERC campus has much to offer researchers and groups. Meeting and conference space, including a kitchen and dining area, is available. (In the future, once renovations are completed, a 125-seat auditorium will also be available for meeting space.) Lodging for groups is available in one-room suites, apartments, and rustic cabins. On-site recreational facilities include hiking trails and a ball field. Located nearby but outside the campus gates, you will find a picnic area, fishing pier, more hiking trails, and six-mile, one-way scenic loop road.

Use of Facilities
Acadia Partners for Science and Learning, a non-profit partner of Acadia National Park, manages the facility operations at SERC and makes the arrangements for rentals. For more information about available facilities and reservation procedures, visit the Acadia Partners for Science and Learning website.

Participants are seated around tables in the rustic Schooner Club. Each cabin has a picnic table located outside. Bikers pause for a moment to enjoy the view of the ocean along the loop road.
The interior of the Schooner Club can accommodate small or large groups. The cabins are one option for housing at SERC. Biking along the loop road is a popular outdoor activity at SERC.
