Figure 12 is a table that shows the sequence of historical events before and during the Early Modern Period for the Lower Snake River. The table is comprised of four columns and corresponding temporal rows. From left to right the column headers are Calendar Year, Historical Events and Processes, Time Markers, and Phase Sequence. The left row headers are structured in 10-year increments starting at the top from 1910 A.D. to 1680 A.D. at the bottom, and are compared to respective named temporal phases. The table contains useful information on the introduction of the horse to the Columbia Plateau from Spanish sources, and types of artifacts that mark a particular temporal phase.
