Friday - July 25, 2014: Anticipate traffic inbound to the park to be moderate with few delays at the entrance stations. Arrive early to avoid the possibility of heavier afternoon traffic.

Saturday - July 26, 2014: Moderate to heavy traffic volumes can be expected between 11am and 1pm.

Sunday - July 27, 2014: Moderate to heavy traffic volumes can be expected between 11am and 1pm.

Monday - July 28, 2014: Light to moderate traffic is to be expected with heaviest traffic outbound around noon. Tioga Road has some road work scheduled which may cause short delays.

Weekly Forecast by Location

Glacier Point: Visitors can anticipate heavy traffic, especially on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Expect some short delays and congestion over the weekend on the Glacier Point Road and vicinity. Stopping at Washburn Point afford the visitor their first glimpse of the great vistas, waterfalls and of course – Half Dome!

Tuolumne Meadows: Pleasant temperatures are always found in the high country. Heavy traffic volumes between 9am and 11am over Tioga Pass can be expected this week – especially on Sunday. The “high country” is a great place to visit. Arrive early to get the best parking spots. Stopping in developed turnouts along the highway enhances your visit! Remember to park in designated areas only. Tioga Road has some road work scheduled which may cause short delays.

Wawona and Mariposa Grove: Sitting along the river’s edge or visiting the historic Wawona Hotel and the Mariposa Grove is always a treat for visitors to Yosemite National Park! Light to moderate traffic is expected all week with the heaviest between 11am and 1pm. Consider arriving before 9am for parking in the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. Delays can be expected near the entrance station – watch for construction equipment and workers in the area. New entrance lanes and kiosks are being constructed!

Yosemite Valley: Warm and dry weather this week is expected to continue to attract visitors. Traffic is expected to be moderate during the week increasing to heavy over the noon hour each day. Arrive by 9am to minimize your wait at the entrance stations. Parking may be limited in Yosemite Valley in the afternoon.
