Summary | The museum collection consists of artifacts relating to Abraham Lincoln (his life, family, home, and legacy); other structures within the park; and the history of the park. In addition to over 100 objects with a direct association to the Lincoln family, the park has an architectural collection consisting of representative samples of architectural materials discovered in or removed from the eighteen (c. 1860) historic structures within the park. An archival collection documents the history of the site from its donation to the state of Illinois in 1887 by Robert Todd Lincoln to the present. An archeological collection consists of items from the park sites. |
